We have come for the vaccine for despotism, please.

This comic is interesting because Quino spoke in the article about the subjects that he was against, but it wasn't acceptable to speak about at the time, so made his comics do it, in this case Mafalda. He also mentions that many of the subjects are still applicable today. This comic is speaking about despotism, which is still a current problem. I find this humorous because it would be fantastic to find a way to rid the world of despotism, and if my nephew who is 7 knew what despotism was I could see him asking someone to cure it. So there is a certain realisticness to this comic to make it funny in a bit of a grim or dark way. Also this comic would have been, and still is a concept that would be of interest to Latin Americans, as well as many other countries and nations throughout the world.
